What are the precautions when selecting a mixer


1. Select the horizontal mixer based on the daily production volume. Due to the mixing machine's processing time of about 10 minutes for each batch of materials, combined with the time for discharging and feeding, the processing time for each batch of materials can be calculated as 15 minutes, which allows for one hour of continuous processing of four batches of materials. If a mixer with a processing capacity of 100 kilograms per batch is selected, it can process 400 kilograms per hour. Users can choose a horizontal mixer based on their own needs. According to the working principle of a horizontal spiral belt mixer, the ability of the double spiral belt used for mixing to push materials in the opposite direction should be fundamentally consistent. Because the pitch of the inner spiral belt should be smaller than that of the outer spiral belt, in order to achieve a consistent ability to push materials, the pitch of the inner spiral belt should be smaller than that of the outer spiral belt, and the width should be larger than that of the outer spiral belt, otherwise it will cause the materials to concentrate in one direction. Therefore, it is important to pay attention to this when selecting a horizontal mixer. 3. When selecting a horizontal spiral belt mixer, pay attention to the discharge method. We should communicate with the supplier in a timely manner to select the valve method that is suitable for our own process, and do not choose the side outlet discharge method together. The reason is that after the mixer completes mixing at the specified time, it can ensure the uniformity of the material by clearing it in a short period of time; If the side spiral belt is used to gradually discharge the material, it will delay the time and fail to achieve the expected production rate. Secondly, if the material has already reached the uniformity, excessive mixing will actually cause the material to separate and damage the uniformity, thus losing the significance of using a horizontal mixer. According to the design principle, the gap between the spiral belt and the shell in the spiral belt mixer can be between 4mm and 10mm, and the material can be driven by friction to participate in the mixing process. However, due to the different particle size and friction coefficient of the materials, the mixing time of various components of the materials will be different, resulting in uneven product. Some manufacturers have now realized this and made improvements to their products. One is to pay attention to machining accuracy, reducing the bottom clearance to about 3mm; Another method is to make the position between the main shaft and the shell adjustable, and adjust the gap between the spiral belt and the shell frequently based on the wear amount. When selecting a mixer, these two methods of product selection should be preferred.

Steel and iron smelting machinery


Mechanical equipment that uses high-temperature metallurgical methods (also known as pyrometallurgy) to smelt ore or low-purity metals into certain purity metals, or to combine several metals and non-metals to smelt alloys of certain composition. Steel and iron are generally smelted using high-temperature metallurgical methods. Steel smelting machinery includes blast furnaces and their supporting machinery for ironmaking, open hearth and converter furnaces for steelmaking, electric arc furnaces, external refining equipment, ingot casting equipment, and metallurgical vehicles. The blast furnace and its supporting machinery are called blast furnaces, which continuously refine iron ore or artificial rich ore into pig iron. Its appearance resembles a rigid cylinder, composed of refractory materials and metal shells. Figure 1 shows the layout of the blast furnace and its supporting machinery. The raw materials are weighed from the ore storage tank and transported to the top of the furnace by the blast furnace mechanical hopper or belt conveyor, and evenly placed in batches into the furnace. The air preheated by the hot blast furnace is blown into the furnace through the tuyere, causing the fuel to burn and heat the furnace material, decompose and reduce it, thereby obtaining pig iron. The molten iron is discharged from the tapping hole, enters the molten iron tank through the iron ditch and flow nozzle, and is transported to the steel plant or cast into iron blocks by a cast iron machine. The gas exported from the furnace top can be used as fuel after being treated by the gas purification system. To strengthen smelting, in addition to using external combustion hot air furnaces to increase air temperature, increase air volume, or using comprehensive blowing (including fuel injection, oxygen rich blowing, and dehumidification blowing), increasing furnace top pressure can also increase production and reduce coke consumption. The newly built blast furnaces widely use bell valve sealed or bell free high-pressure furnace tops. After adopting the bell free high-pressure furnace top, the height and weight of the furnace top can be correspondingly reduced by about half. The blast furnace has a capacity of about 5500m3 (with a daily output of over 10000 tons of pig iron). The large-scale and continuous production of blast furnaces requires a high degree of mechanization and automation, and it is necessary to use supporting blast furnace machinery such as opening and closing tapping machines and tuyere changing machines.
